Pasture Walk: Multispecies Rotational Grazing

  • Fresh Pasture Farms 1931 Kropp Road Millstadt, IL, 62260 United States (map)

Join us for an exciting Pasture Walk at Fresh Pasture Farms, LLC in Millstadt, IL! We’re teaming up with Food Works to bring you this fantastic field day on Wednesday, July 9th, from 5 to 7 pm. You’ll get a firsthand look at how rotational grazing management can benefit our environment and our farms!

During the tour, you’ll meet farmers Wade, his wife Jamie, and their parents, Norman and Sandy Sutter, who are eager to share their experiences with you. Learn how they’ve improved soil health, increased native grasses, and tackled invasive species by rotating their heritage breeds of sheep, goats, cattle, hogs, and chickens across many acres of beautiful land. It’s all about nurturing our pastures to enhance animal health and reduce costs!

After the tour, stick around for a locally sourced meal provided by Cafe on the Abbey featuring seasonal ingredients. It’s a great opportunity to ask questions, continue the conversation, and connect with others who share your interest in regenerative, rotational grazing practices.
