Cropland Grazing Pasture Walk

  • River Oak Ranch 15703 East 1600th Street Macomb, IL, 61455 United States (map)

Can managed grazing on crop ground equal or exceed net returns of corn or soybeans? Join us for a FREE Pasture Walk at Trevor Toland’s ranch to see the results of his summer cropland grazing project.

This summer Trevor grazed 245 stocker 7 weight steers on 65 acres of sorghum/sudan forage. Attendees will be able to view various stages of the grazed forages and see the steers. Discussion and observation will also include the winter planted follow-up to the sorghum/sudan after the third rotation, which we are in now.
